Large-signal Stability Analysis of Grid-connected DC Microgrid with VSC

Abstract The grid-connected DC microgrid under the background of high penetrations renewable energy sources and inverter-interfaced devices has characteristics strong nonlinearity poor immunity, which leads to problems large-scale voltage fluctuation instability when suffers large disturbances, it seriously influences security stable operation system. Therefore, a disturbance stability criterion is based on mixed potential theory (MPT) for model with voltage-source converter (VSC) proposed. This paper also analyzes mechanism conservatism criterion, verifies accuracy standard, analyses influencing elements basic large-signal (LSS) nonlinear systems, provides benchmark design parameters control VSC main circuit. Finally, effectiveness analysis are verified by electromagnetic transient simulation.
